What started with a cold-call to a prospective client, became a winter expedition with a few friends in one of my new-found favorite places on the east coast. We traveled 70 miles over eight days around Baxter State Park at the beginning of February this year. A trip like this doesn't come easy. It's taken years of skill-development and confidence building to complete a successful mission that was relatively uneventful. Sure we had a small case of hypothermia, dealt with a broken stove, slept through -10 to -15 degree nights, and pulled 80 pound sleds, but overall everyone ended up getting around the park unscathed. Morale stayed high, we saw amazing parts of the park for the first time, and planned future missions.
